Bringing the best of tactile controls from old car interiors to the next generation of electric vehicles. Focusing on creating intuitive mapping of tactile auxiliary controls to allow for the build up of muscle memory, ultimately leading to less distracted driving and more confidence in your control. Taking the dynamic mapping concepts of tactile switches from older vehicles and aircraft cockpits, and combining it with the newest technology in EV platforms to allow for automation, self-actuation, and predictable overridability.

These paddles offer a solution for paraplegic drivers and automotive athletes, bringing all of the advantage of mind to hand reaction speeds to throttle and brake that even the most trained drivers can’t get with foot pedals. Inspired by the work of Bosch and Pratt-Miller for Robert Wickens, aimed to develop a modular consumer version that can lower the bar of entry to motorsports for those with limited leg use.

This exploration of the physics of light and camera lens apertures was built around a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T in candy purple with white walls. This experiment was meant to test the bounds and effects of a custom aperture shape, in this case the iconic R/T logo, with a custom star-like cloud of point lights acting as the background to see the impact and result of the trial.
